you can send it a ticket and join the lottery - also i assume it makes the lottery bigger.
There should be a limit to how many tickets you can buy - like maximum 50 tickets or something, this way someone with alot of coin can't monopolize it, and it's more fair (i'm talking to you steem loto)

I hope you do well. As far as I know, it should be cpu mineable. Many other coins got so hard to mine they had to use cuda cores, some of the newer coins are making it difficult to use asics or gpus, trying to make it more fair.
Steem may be one of those. Not sure.
