Clever cosplay can cast spells visually with 3d leds

A clever cosplayer was able to simulate the anime casting spell effect using a modded Nerf blaster and a spinning LED wand.

The result is anime styled casting glyph that's 3d and can be seen in any angle.

The technology is amazing because it's also what could be used for that blade runner style of holograms coming soon to a city near you.

You can create this kind of effect with free software like black magic designs free fusion compositing software.
Its film level effects for free. I use it myself for visual effects that i do.
