[EN] Solving Bluetooth pairing issue on Windows 10
Hi everyone!
Sunday, I have a friend who asked me to solve a Bluetooth keyboard issue, she's really need a keyboard because for more typing efficiency.
The Bluetooth keyboard model : BK3001
Explanation of the situation
She never succeeded pairing the keyboard to the tablet because asking a PIN code, the user manual is very small (front/back A6 sheet) and doesn't give much information except an illustration for each step of setting-up the device.
A screenshot illustration with a dialog box show a PIN code, she innocently types the example PIN code and expect work, but obviously she didn't understand that it was only for explanatory purposes and that it didn't reflect the code to type.
In fact it seems that Windows 10 is having trouble with some bootlegs keyboards, because this is not the first time I see this problem.
Solution to the problem
I was able to solve the problem using a more traditional interface, first click on the Bluetooth icon and then on Join a Personal Area Network.
Click on Add a device.
Wait until you see the device in the list below.
For the rest I don't have screenshots to provide, because I don't have peripherals that have this problem..
Once the desired device is displayed you will have to click on it and wait, it should still ask you for the PIN code but under the textbox a small blue message will generate a PIN code.
All you have to do is type this PIN code on the keypad and press the Enter key, your device should pairing itself... FINALLY!
Sometimes this can fail, I noticed that it works better if you wait after typing the PIN code before pressing the key Enter.
If I can borrow the keyboard in question I will probably make a video about it or at worst try to get screenshots to complete this article.
