Nationwide, 2.7 million grandparents are raising their grandchildren, and about one-fifth of those have incomes that fall below the poverty line, according to census figures. Their ranks are increasing. The number of grandparents raising grandchildren is up 7 percent from 2009. I am one of those 2.7 million. At one time i was embrassed of the fact until I started my research. These poor children! And what about the future of our world? There are many, many reasons why people go astray. Drugs, death, and illnesses or handcap, just to mention a few. Please remember the children, they are "our world, our future" they are US.
