The castle of mountain spirits (Russia, Altai Republic, Chemal rayon) is a popular tourist destination. And the more tourists, the more legends. There is a popular belief among the local people that this is a bad place, which it is desirable to avoid, and spending the night there is dangerous for life, since you can never wake up. The next legend says that scientists became interested in unexpected deaths and conducted a study that revealed that the wind, passing through the rocks, creates the sound of a certain wave (configuration) that is dangerous to people's lives.

The reality is that this place was sacred for local people. It is likely that earlier the wind had extracted sounds, and after the rocks had been blown up during the Civil War or the first years of Soviet power, the extraction of sounds was discontinued. Scientists, most likely, never studied cases of unexpected deaths.
