Approximately 1 billion people worldwide lack access to safe drinking water and contaminated water are linked to transmission of diseases.
Parabosol designed to filter water where water sources are polluted and making it unsuitable for use. The system consists of two canisters and a reservoir for polluted water, a filtration and boiling water system and two containers for the collection and storage of clean water.
How it works?
Dirty water is poured into a special tank, where it passes through the first sand filter to remove coarse particles into a special tube, which is heated by sunlight, focused on the tube by a parabolic mirror. The water in the tube heats up to 400 degrees Celsius, turning into steam. At this stage, water is disinfected by boiling. The steam is then condensed on a bronze spiral tube and subjected to final filtration from extraneous odors and impurities through a carbon filter. Thus, the Parabosol system turns contaminated water into harmless consumable water.
