Meetup and a Surprise!

I remembered when @robmojo asked me on Discord about having an early celebration for @steemxp first anniversary a few weeks ago. When he mentioned that he wanted to bring a cake despite telling him that the anniversary, as a matter of fact, is on July, I thought he was kidding.

When he made the official announcement on our Discord channel, I quickly made the RSVP (or I was already on the list, automatically?)

Thinking back my journey on Steemit, I think I enjoyed having an offline meetup. Just to make sure everyone's on the radar (not in a creepy way though😜), keep the community engaged and of course get the latest updates, inspiration, new ideas and motivation.

I get a few tips from @verasj about @tasteem which I am glad that she shared with us, about @steemmonster, @steemhunt, @actifit, to name a few. We also discuss our future project and our next @steemxp outing trip (psstt... we're going on a picnic! Yippee)

I was starving! So, when the pizzas arrived on our table, I think I am the first to open the box, take a few slices, place it on my plate and ... well, I can't really recall what happened next. Haha.

When @tommyl33 put the cake on the table, I think some of us are a bit surprised why there was even a cake there. They probably thought it was a birthday surprise for one of the member.

A cake with a @steemxp's logo on top. @robmojo really did a nice job with the cake. It was really pretty and tastes good too. You know what they say, happy tummy, happy us 😁. We even sing a happy birthday song for @steemxp! LOL.

We decided to have an early celebration for @steemxp and of course to celebrate friendship and togetherness.

It's pretty amazing how this platform can do to us. It brings us closer and we get the opportunity to know each other better. Somehow, meetup like this creates and provide an opportunity for the new members to organize future meetups which is a great way to keep the rest of the members engaged.

I would personally want to say thank you for dedicating your time to arrange this wonderful meetup @robmojo, @tommyl33.

Thanks for stepping up and we truly appreciate the effort.
