This is pretty cool you send a saliva sample to the company and open an wallet on their site. They sequence the DNA. You can keep your info private or choose to sell it for crypto.
Benefits
You are helping cure disease
You own the information, if a third party researcher wishes to buy it, they buy from you directly. Those DNA sites that tell you your racial ancestry sell the information, this allows you to profit.
Blockchain ensures transparency and allows the customer to choose which companies or academics buy their data.
If you had some genetic information researchers were looking for it could be making you some coins.

This concept is very good in helping others. By sending saliva samples or our DNA, researchers can conduct experiments in the health field. They will find medicines to treat diseases that have no cure. We can save it personally and can even sell it to make money. Your data will be safe because it is saved on the blockchain.

You can be the part of science, and monetize your contribution, but you just let your primary identifying features away.
We all know, where are the genetics today, and we can estimate the opportunities, there are no secrets, and at time, the genetical material will be as valuable as the personal data today.
And between you, and the fit the result on the blockchain, there is a huge hole, a security breach, a vulnerability.
Do your things careful!
I won't be monetizing my own genetic data. t's way too personal for me to just give up for few bucks. But giving people he choice is a good thing. This should be more beneficial for older people because they can make a quick buck and might not see too many problems arising from selling biomedical data.
One thing I love is the transparency provided through the blockchain. I hope they'd incorporate zero knowledge privacy into the project too.
Interesting to say the least. Kinda' scratchin' my head as I wouldn't want to sell my DNA but I suppose everything is for sale somewhere and someone will always sell it...........

This is one of the most innovative concept I have come across about implementation of blockchain technology. I am not sure if ideally it would be okay to sell your DNA, but if it is being used for good purpose, it would definitely be a great option.

I think this is nice. Because I really like to help in curing devices even though I have not been to medical school, at least, I can be of help medically.
