Mist at The Arboretum
Some lovely misty photos from today at the Dallas Arboretum.
This is the first time I've ever seen the misters in action while I was visiting!
I didn't even know they had these misters; I just thought they had sprinklers!
Now I know how they keep this place so beautiful!
We also had clouds and a little bit of rain today.
It was only 83 when my daughter and I walked around the arboretum!
It was a nice reprieve from our hot, dry, sunny summer days!

What a beautiful space full of emerald moistened and "cloudy". You breathe living nature. Thank you for bringing the images of what you lived, felt and perceived in that natural temple @violetmed. Your eyes were ecstatic with this jewel and you managed to convey that to us. Well done!
Great shots of the mist makers @violetmed. They are great for adding humidity but also for making a mood. You don't need dry ice. If they open the arboretum at night in the summer and get some colored lighting this mist effect can make a nice show with the right music.
Enjoy the cool weather. For some reason Korea just got hotter. This is my last week of English summer school. I hope to be at the airport Sunday.

Misting has always been most effective for me, so I'm not surprised they see such beautiful results!

What type of camera did you use for this?
The first 2 photos were taken on my iPhone 8 Plus and the next 2 were taken on my Canon PowerShot.
nothing is as magical as the fog clinging to the forest floor as it warms and starts to dissipate... ferns and fog remind me of Muir Woods just north of San Francisco. That bench looks like an invitation to sit and enjoy the cool mist with the plants
