This Eastern Red Cedar is growing in the native plant garden at the Heard Natural Science Museum and Wildlife Sanctuary in McKinney, Texas
I photographed this tree on August 18th.

I see that these cedars have a lot of other common names that people call them.
What do you call them if you live in the US?

Have you seen these trees in other countries?

I definitely prefer to post on Busy.org from my computer.
It's just so much easier and faster and I like typing with all my fingers and seeing my photos on a big screen!
Also, I like to resize my photos on my computer.

I will still using the Partiko app on my phone to check in daily and upvote and comment on other people's posts.
Have you used the Partiko app?

Have a Blessed Day!

  • @violetmed Amiga who photos so spectacular of this beautiful cedar with its beauty that characterizes it and great strength. Nature is beautiful and unique. Publish from wherever you feel most comfortable a nd can make the arrangements you like dear friend. Your pictures are always the best. You're great. You're great. Happy afternoon dear nature-loving friend.

Thank you and have a great day yourself!

Beautiful and majestic tree, @violetmed. In my country there are several cities where there are many cedars. In some parks there are also. Its size and characteristic smell, plus the pineapples that sprout from it, make it unmistakable. Seeing trees like these only makes us grateful to God and nature. Hugs and a nice Tuesday!

Beautiful photographs and I will check the app out
Thank you so much dear for your kind gesture.

Thank you and you are so welcome!

With my eyes and age, I post on PC most when I can. I love Busy. I have not uses Partiko yet. I usually just use Steemit on the internet on my phone. I love that Busy upvote as well!

Yep, can’t beat that Busy upvote! Have a great Tuesday! And yes, alas phone screens drive me crazy with their small size! Haha, even though I have an iPhone 8! My husband and I switched to a large screen tv 6 years ago so we could see the score for baseball, basketball, football games, etc from the couch!! 😃

I've used the Partiko app on my phone @violetmed but, like you, I much prefer using my computer for posting. In fact, I prefer it for all activities.

I tried to use my phone yesterday when I was out of the house but gave up in frustration. 😂

Same up here on Long Island, Red Cedar. A lot grows here in open fields in sandy soil.

Nice, my mother in law told me That she and her dad would go out and cut a cedar tree down for their Christmas tree every year. She lived in Arkansas. Of course that would’ve been back in about 1945

Just cedar trees when I was growing up. Don't have them on west coast I don't think. I like the comments on what butterflies it hosts :)

So in the same you tell your feeling about this natural view.

That's a beautiful solid strong tree... Looks easy to climb too! :)

I don't see this kind of tree around me but never know if it can still be found at other part's of our country.... I like the wideness of this tree it can help give good shield during hot season here..
