Steemit Philippines Photography Contest Week #5- Filipino Food Photography : Chicken Adobo
Hello steemits
20% of payout goes to @steemitphcurator
As a foreigner one of the food I eat on my arrival from the airport was chicken adobo.. But my first food Here I ate at Jollibee.. After my friends took me to my apartment next day they welcome me to the Philippines with a plate of adobo at the restaurant its all memories
I always see adobo as one difficult dish to me truth be told I love eating chicken adobo but have never tried to cook it by myself is either I buy or I eat in my friends house
So today I took out time to get it Done for myself and I really enjoyed what I cook
I used a kilo of chicken properly washed and to add to with the list of things I'll used to cook the adobo
What really set adobo apart is the presence of soy sauce in it marinade.. While vingar has a pungent aroma and a very distinctly sour taste
Below are the picture of what I used to prepare my sweet chicken adobo
How I cook my adobo.. Put a little oil in the pot, when is done add garlic after some minutes add onions too, then you put chicken then put small salt.. Cover it for like 10min after that you add knor cube potatoes, soy sauce, vinegar bar leaf, chilli if Filipino you can add sugar allow it to cooked for minutes taste it to know if it okay.. After some minutes your adobo is Done
My incredients includes
Potato
Onions
Bay leave
Carrot
Pepper
Soy sauce
Vinegar
Chicken etc
Most Filipino adds sugar to their adobo butb as an African we do away with too much sugar for our health reasons
It my pleasure to say vividly that I can cook my favorite dish here in the Philippines
Therefore I encourage our Filipino parents to teach thier kids how to cook because it's help in life incase they are away from home they could take care of their meals
Am very happy to be part of this contest that could enable me to cook what I always long to cooked here so from now I'll be cooking chicken adobo from time to time without getting it at the restaurant
So am inviting @fycee, @jewel89, @jb123 to share thier dishes too
God bless our steemit community
