What can I say about this, besides that it's true. Our big supporter @eeks gave us just that extra incentive to keep going but now we're hardly payed I feel even more like writing on what I really want to share not what I have studied or know a lot about.

I am still around, it's I have a lot of things that drawn on my time (I'm older than many on Steem so I have family, work travel, fulltime job, 20 other crypto things I devote time to, and of course the many movies I watch and so on) and when I do upvote, I do it manually, so I often spend an hour or more scrolling through my feed when I have time. But I believe it's cyclical like I wrote about upthread.
And so it will come back and this cycle will clear out the nonserious and reward the people who want to write and be part of Steem longterm. That's been my experience with crypto generally and Steem specifically. It had a sharp cycle in 2016 too and a lot of people left and thought it was the end times for Steem. Alas, here we are.
I know all about that ( or maybe not all), even though I only got into crypto in May 2017, I already have seen so many come and go. You certainly need to be able to hold your breath for a while to be able to survive in 'this world'

I am probably also older than most Steemians too but I have no family ( to feed ) and Steemit and filmmaking are my 'job', for lack of a better word.
I myself am actually watching way less movies since I started focusing more on filmmaking myself. Any recent films that you can recommend?

I don't know how you do it. I defently post less since I got a full time job, but I still love it here. I can't believe I've been posting for over a year now. Also, thank you @eeks for your upvotes, I really do appriciate it and always notice them.
