More Games Are Comking Based On The Same @steemmonsters Assets; Which Genre Would You Like To See The Most?

I guess it is time is coming to a point where the name @steemmonsters seem less relevant than the name Splinterlands. This is not a well known fact. But if you care to read the latest Untamed Kickstarter campaign, you will come across this statement:

In the coming months we plan on adding a mobile application, Boss Fights, new tournament modes, and Guild Battles. In the mid term we're building an expansion to the game so that players can buy land, place mines and manufacturing, and use it to produce items and spells that can be used in the Splinterlands game. In the longer term we will build additional games using the same assets, but in other classes of games like real time strategies, RPGS, and more.

We should not expect anything unrealistic or a type of game that are not very suited to get the best out of blockchain features. Personally this little obscure detail makes me feel a lot more confident regarding being an investor of both STEEM (which is my biggest crypto holding) and Splinterlands Cards.

It will certainly add value to splinterlands to have multiple uses. Great catch btw

It's also a niche that isn't served well. You can capture some dedicated fanbase and then introduce them to other games simply because they already own some assets.

If the game is fun and entertaining (and/or educational), then anything can come.
For example it would be good to see FPS, TPS, and racing games, and basically all kinds of games on the Steem blockchain.
I think that a downloadable game would be better than a web browser game.
For example the Gods Unchained (trading card game on the Ethereum blockchain) is only downloadable, it is not playable in browsers. Furthermore Gods Unchained is entirely free-to-play. You do not need to pay for the starter set, because you get that for free at the registration and you also get cards by levelling up. The game is currently available on Windows and on Mac OS X, and according to the Immutable Support (I asked them), the Linux support is also planned, but they cannot give an approximate timeframe as to when this will be implemented.

Totally RPG. Turnbased might be easier but normal RPG would be funnier.

I actually love Tower Defense Games, I have loved them since I found out Internet existed.

And I think Tower Defense Games could actually fit into the blockchain games, because it's a simple concept.

I can see something like Age of Mythology; where all players can make human units and buildings; but only card holders can build mythical creatures, like the hydra, phoenix and manticore, based on the cards they hold. If you have a level 10 Phoenix, you can summon/build up to 10 phoenixes at a time.
