Insidious: The Last Key. Beginning.
The other day I managed to get out on the pre-movie, to a new horror film "Insidious: The Last Key", I want to share with you my response. The tape is a direct continuation of the previous films and tells us how it all began. The film shows the childhood years of the main character, the psychic Alice, who was beaten by a father who does not accept her rare gift. After many years, Alice has to return to her parents' house to help get rid of the man living there, from otherworldly forces. A trip to her home helps the main heroine to find answers to her long-standing questions.
A small digression, I should note that on the pretext, people behaved more restrained and silence reigned in the hall. Unlike simple trips to the movies, where in some delicate moment everyone starts laughing or shouting stupid comments. Therefore, I do not like watching horror at the cinema, but this time everything was perfect.
In "Insidious: The Last Key" is very qualitatively removed entry, from the first minute it becomes creepy. The girls in the cinema kept closing their eyes with their hands or clutching their boyfriend with their hands. The guys were more manly but sometimes shuddered at the effects of surprise on the screen. In this picture, there are a lot of similar moments and all of them are really unpredictable, and in combination with a loud quality sound add extra fright.
The director tried to make the film as boring as possible, adding a bit of humor between the pumping episodes. The main jokers here were two guys, helpers of the psychic, perfectly blended into the overall atmosphere of the picture. For Adam Robitel, this film, I think, became the best director's work for his short career.
I still do not understand why such a movie is attributed to the genre of "horrors", in my opinion this is a typical mystical thriller, nothing more. For the burnt-out moviegoers, the film will not seem particularly scary, perhaps it's the golden mean. Impressive and emotional viewers will have a new astral taste, a small portion of adrenaline they will receive a hundred percent. At least my expectations of the film justified, I did not expect to see such a good picture, a boring story and Josh Stewart in the cast.
Summing up, I will say that the fourth part is a pretty good continuation of the franchise, of course with the first film can not be compared, but it turned out to be a useful thrilling thriller with a beautiful picture and with memorable characters. Whether it is worth it to go to the cinema, it's up to you. I probably recommend it only to fans of the genre, but I warn you: nothing new you will see, ordinary mysticism. My score for the film is 6 out of 10.
