The Ivory Creature
A trip to Yankari National Park located in Bauchi State, in northeastern Nigeria, a home of large wildlife. Elephants have distinctive features, the most notable is a long trunk used for many purposes, particularly breathing, lifting water, and grasping objects. There incisors grow into tusks, which can serve as weapons and as tools for moving objects and digging. One of the biggest threats to elephant populations is the ivory trade, as the animals are poached for their ivory tusks. They are beautiful large creatures.
