Long Distance Relationships Do Work!

Ok so let’s just start with the warning that this may get a little corny.

So I was born in Caracas, Venezuela but since I was 6 years old I have live in Valencia (the capital of the State of Carabobo in Venezuela not the city in Spain), I’m 30 now (yes I’m old so let’s just move on and not mention my age again thank you) and I have been living in a city call El Tigrito (real name San Jose De Guanipa but everybody calls it like that cause I have not freaking idea why) for the past half year or so, this city is in State of the Anzoátegui, located in the northeastern region of the country.

Here is the story of how I ended up living here now (and of me falling in love because of course).

So I was just 24 years old and I was working on a call center in my city this company had issues with the floor and needed to fix it asap but the work we did as a call center name Atento de Venezuela for the cellular company of Movilnet, couldn’t stop, so the solution was to take a few employees to other building of the call center in the city of Caracas so that we could work from there for as long as the floor on our building was being fix. I was pick as one of the employees that would travel, I wanted to do it, it was good pay and the other employees who were going with me were my friends so it was fun.

The day we got to the building in Caracas we were place in offices of employees from that building to work with, there it happen, I didn’t knew it right then I really had not idea my life would be change forever that day.
I meet this nice guy so amicable and funny, he was the coworker I was suppose to shared office space with for 2 days only, his name is Jean Carlos Guayapero (@Yanco), we talk and make fun and spend those 2 days really like two coworkers who have to endure 8hrs of work together nothing more. At the end of the 2nd day we were saying goodbye and exchange numbers and emails to keep track of each other nothing romantic just an amicable relationship.
I went back to my city he stayed at Caracas, we follow each other on facebook and on there I found his blackberry messenger pin (I know like way back then…) I added him and we really didn’t chat a lot we just had each other as contacts and that was all.

One day I posted a meme as a profile pic, he saw it and wrote to me about it, we started chatting, and ended up sleeping that night really late for being on the phone with him all night. The next day I wake up wanting to see if he had wrote to me a good morning message, it was not something I had planned it was something illogical to me he was someone I had meet 2 years ago and haven’t seen him in person since then and to top it all he was living in the same city that I was, the whole long distance relationship was so not me, I didn’t believe in them I couldn’t believe the work at all.

All that happen almost 5 years ago (it´ll be 5 years this June) we had a long distance relationship that started as a friendship, that evolve into something else so quickly it took me by surprise and I still don’t have a clue how the hell did that happen lol. I live with him now in this city (he was born here and he works here now), we have survive 4 long years of long distance relationship it was not easy to do, it was annoying as hell, it took so much energy and money to maintain (the travels back and for) but at the end we are still together cause we wanted to make it work. i love him like i have never loved anyone else i truly do belive he is the love of my life ( i told you this would be a corny post).

I guess what I’m trying to say is that if there is love and commitment from both parts, a relationship can with all that it faces.

I try to make this a short post lmao but I ended up making it 726 words long I’m sorry and thank you all so much for reading me! I love telling my life stories I have not idea if the interest you people but I like to shared them with you.
