Its time for a change I think √

Now all through my life I have been a room changer. Every so often I get the sudden urge to move everything around! Often this comes as a vision of how I would like the room to look. I then go full into it it without measuring anything or without any proper planning, as you can imagine it often turns in to a right mess quite quickly!

As you know I moved into a new pad ... WOW five months ago now. When I moved in all the furniture and fitting were included in the rent; an easy life for me then. Having lived here for those months now I had one of these moments. To be honest with you its not felt right from the start but I wanted to live in it for a bit getting used to its energies first. Not all of its my choice of furniture but thats what I have so...

How we started!

That's how it looked at the start. In my opinion a touch to regimented and symmetrical. Man I hate everything being symmetrical is so unnatural. My plan was to declutter it a bit and get rid sofa. As I prefer the older looking chairs (love a bit of art deco personally) but this was not practical. The sofa had to stay and after a hideous mess a bit... no no a large amount of sweat and obscenities; I came to the conclusion it was in the beast place. 

I looked into a bit of Feng Shui and to me it seems to be about the energy you personally feel as you enter (obvious I know but bare with me) the room. There were not specific tips I could find to help my with this predicament, I went in free style. Now if I have the blanc canvas thing would be very different but I had to work with the things I had.

The room now! Not much different I know but with that sofa there this is the best I could come up with. The sideboard thing has gone into my yoga room. I'll show you that in a while as i'm still working on it still, its nearly there. I need to get some plants to make it right. But yes I need plants in the sitting room too. It looks so unnatural without any green around. I'm on a mission to find some nice pots to grow my new plants in. I am considering ask the pub next door for some old tins they might have and taking it from there a paint job or something else we'll have to wait for that moment when the inspiration pops into my head. I digress sorry!

Back to the room...

So what do you think, not that you'll be that bothered but might have some tips for me. Any plant recommendations? I'm hoping to find some nice cuttings of exotic looking plants on a walk somewhere. It's not ideal but a bit more me I think. If that sofa was not there I would have more to play with but it is so happy days.
