Write Your Own Success Story
Do not let the noise of other’s opinion drown out your inner voice and most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything is secondary….

Every day of our lives, we come across successful talks, how not to be a failure, what to do succeed, how to rise up after falling, how to strive for perfection and the list goes on and in most cases after reading all of these or listening to these talks, it really doesn’t change anything, we end up either the same way or more depressed than before. This happens basically because the term success is relative and it has a different meaning to different people
We need to understand that success is not is dynamic and our understanding or definition of success changes with each passing stage of our lives.
A few months back, a wealthy young lady’s tweet went viral about being wealthy not equating to happiness, she mentioned a few of her assets including a private jet and revealed that despite all she had, she still felt empty and it still didn’t make sense to her. 80% of responses didn’t conform to her disposition. They were majorly of the opinion that she should talk for herself alone and others wanted to be wealthy first, then decide if wealth is happiness to them or not. The same is applicable to success and success stories, what works for someone may not work for you. You have to understand yourself and discover what works for you and flow with it
We must have heard about stories of successful individuals who are school drop outs like: Bill Gates who dropped out of Havard to build Microsoft which is one of the world’s largest software company. Orji Uzor Kalu who didn’t finish his university education because he was part of a student’s protest that got him rusticated which led him to start palm oil trade and grew his business “Slok Group” into a conglomerate, Walt Disney, a very creative and one of the most influential animators in the world who also dropped out of school at age 16 and founded Walt Disney, Mary Kay Ash founder of Mary Kay Inc, the popular makeup brand never went to school, Li Ka Shing who dropped out of school at the age of 15 to start selling watch bands and currently owns one of the largest conglomerates in Hong Kong, Asa Candler founder of the leading beverage brand Coca-Cola dropped out of school at the age of 10, Giorgio Armani who dropped out of medical school because he couldn’t stand the sight of blood lol later found one of the most successful fashion brands.
Interesting success stories right?
Especially for people like us who don’t enjoy formal education, we read stories like these ones and get motivated and believe there is success for us out there. Quite true but it still doesn’t work for every school dropout, many have tried this route but failed woefully.
How about stories of people who actually completed high school and college education and still became successful? The likes of: Linda Ikeji founder of Linda Ikeji Blog who has a bachelor’s degree in English Language (University of Lagos),Jeff Bezos founder of Amazon who has a degree in Engineering (Princeton University), Larry Page who co-founded google has a bachelor’s degree is computer engineering (University of Michigan) and a master’s degree in computer science(Stanford University), popular Oprah Winfery who has a degree in speech and performing arts (Tennesse States University),Evans Akanno** founder of Cregital who has a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Chemistry (Imo State University ),Sam Walton founder of Wal-Mart stores who has a degree in Economics (University of Missouri), Phil Knight co-founder of Nike who has a bachelor’s degree in Journalism (University of Oregon) and a master’s degree in business administration (Stanford University), Mark Anthony Essien founder of hotels.ng who has a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering (Beuth University of Applied Science, Berlin)
Now you see that you can succeed with a degree and other academic qualifications so if like me again, school is your thing, please do it with so much passion. I am actually a university graduate with a degree in Business Management (University of Uyo) lemme blow my trumpet small
On steemit, your academic qualification or school drop our status doesn’t actually matter because we all join the community as newbies and succeed gradually or exponentially depending on a couple of factors. I've listened to people complaining about their invitees doing better than them or a member of the crew that joined the community the same time as them having more or better success than them. I've also seen people grow in a month, three months, seven months, a year and everyone have their different timing.
Some guys put in so much effort to get upvotes from @curie @onequality @ocd and other quality content curators, other put in effort working on @utopian.io, some do a lot of interactions and get active on different communities while others engage in different community projects. Some prefer to stick to a niche while others write randomly.
The community is big and there are various ways to succeed, if you can't put up a long writeup, have you tried Zappl? You prefer a vlog, then maximize dtube, there's dsound for the music inclined guys, dlife, steepshot for those that are crazy about pictures...
You cannot fit anywhere and everywhere and you shouldn't compare yourself to anyone and everyone, do not allow anyone put pressure on you to succeed their way and do not put pressure on yourself either, take your time to write your own success story.

Like I said earlier success has different meanings to different people and each stage of your life gives you a different definition of what success is
Too many people measure how successful they are by how much money they make or the people that they associate with, In my opinion, true success should be measured by how happy you are.
Richard Branson
you don't need money to be successful.
Billionaire investor Mark Cuban
success is more about competing with yourself than the other guy
John Wooden
Success is liking yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it.
Maya Angelou
success isn't about how much money you make. It's about the difference you make in people's lives.
Barack Obama
Choose to succeed at your own pace and on your own terms....
