Saturday Silver Spotlight! Engelhard bars
Today on the Saturday Silver Spotlight I have some Engelhard bars. I also want to talk about storage for them and a good resource to look them up.
I do have some sequential numbers and a few different types. The best resource I've found to look them up has been this site. http://allengelhard.com/definitive-pages/engelhard-1oz-class-2/ It gives you a picture, description, serial number set and some other good info. Some of the bars from Engelhard have extremely low Mint numbers, some as low as 25.
Here is another variety of the bars.
I like these bars because they are individually serial numbered and easy to keep track of. The easiest way I found to keep track is to make an excel spreadsheet. Upload a photo and serial number. Then if anything should happen all the info is their for the police and insurance.
The book I keep them in is from Dansco. They have books for just about any coin sets you can imagine. Here is their link. http://www.danscoalbumstore.com/dansco-albums-c-63.html?osCsid=65ff26bd98380b8e2f3ebe12261d1fa9 Whitman also makes books like this. https://www.whitman.com/store/Inventory/Browse/Coin-Albums
The books I have hold 45oz each. I started running out of room in my safe and wanted to free up some space. These books are also a form of security in my eyes. They hide my silver in plain sight among the rest of the books on the book shelves.
Hope you enjoyed this week on the Saturday Silver Spotlight! Back again next week with more of the collection. Happy Saturday.
PS: I just started "pouring" silver last night. Then I found out my torch doesn't work on an angle. Got a couple nice blobs. More on that tomorrow after I try again tonight with a new torch.
I like Engelhard bars. This is my first look of silver bars in an album! WOW, another silver pourer in the community. WTG, my friend! I just followed you, and look forward to reading your blog! Have a great weekend. Take care.
I'm not a silver pourer yet, just a silver melter. lol. +1 new follower for you also.
That's a great way to store the bars! And a nice e-hard collection you have going!
It is a handy way to store and show them. Then you don't get dirty fingerprints all over them. Thanks for the comment.
Very nice E-hards bro!
Thanks man! I dig them.
Those are some fantastic looking bars my friend. Wish i had more of them.
Silver is still cheap. Keep an eye out for some. Maybe I'll have a raffle now that I'm figuring this out more.
Silver is cheap but finding them by me is real hard. I’m aleays looking for them.👍
Let me know if you want some. I have 6 coin shops near me and a ton of pawn shops. If you are in the US I can send you some for what I pay plus shipping.
No doubt. I’m in on that. Thanks. I am in the US, im in New Jersey.
Man that a nice setup. I love the engelhard bars and the album. Nice combination
Thanks. I really like the books for storage.
