Winking sketch
I was in a sketching mood tonight but couldn’t decide on what to draw. Then this happened. I’ve never drawn a winking face before so it’s different. I know, I should probably start moving on and sketching other body parts.
I’m just thankful that I got any sketching done for the day. I’ve been going about my day doing everything but drawing. I actually tried sketching in bed last night but fell asleep holding my pencil. The night before I fell asleep with my glasses on while watching a movie. I only saw the first 10 minutes and caught the last 5 minutes before the credits rolled. It was pretty funny.
@kommienezuspadt would’ve hated to see me asleep with all of my electronics scattered on the bed. It drives him nuts. He is still away on his work trip and my days have been boring without his company. He’s been teasing me lately by saying that I show him more interest when he’s gone. I acknowledged it. It’s true but I swear that my heart is warmer than it seems!
This sketch was drawn up using procreate and I’m using mainly ink tools. Dry ink, brush pen, and the round brush. I think it turned out looking pretty good. It has a stronger feel to it than my usual soft pencil sketches.

That was an amazing skecth of the eyes, looks.so detailed, the reflection of the lights in cornea, the shadowing was excellent...looks like a real eyes... Great work..

Oh! You also have Procreate? Yeah, it’s awesome. I’ve been meaning to do a little video of me sketching so people can see what I do but it’s hard for me to film something like that.
I’d be so scared of waking up in the wrong area I’d I fell asleep on the bus!
There's a special option in Procreate to record the drawing you just made. This should be quite useful to share it to the world easily. I've tried the software a few times but it's lacking in my opinion some vectorial features like square or text... I should use it paired with a second one though...
I know you can do a live drawing if you’re able to connect with YouTube but it tends to disconnect. I do save the time lapse video to share here but I’ve have a few people ask me how I navigate personally navigation through it. I agree that squares, shapes, and text could be nice. I still think that they did a fantastic job with how the paints blend colors.
Yeah totally. Those brushes blend in perfectly when applied. I'll give it a try once again when I get the pressure sensitive pen. I feel like I'll get a little closer to the real stuff once I get to that point.
