These donuts suck!
Looks can be deceiving.
Don’t let my smile fool you, these donuts are garbage. Why? Because they taste like stale old bread rolls. In my heart, I feel like I could somewhat forgive the staleness but that’s not the only issue. The last time I stopped into this joint was a year or two ago. I got myself a cake donut topped with chocolate icing and sprinkles. I took a bite and I did what most toddlers would do with a disagreeable food, I spit it out. To my surprise it was incredibly salty. To this day I am still baffled. All they sell are donuts so why the fck don’t they ever taste like donuts!?
What’s even more surprising are the 4 and a half star reviews this place gets on yelp. All of Minneapolis has embraced this place because it’s ‘trendy’ and it seems like the reviews left from out-of-towners are the only honest ones. Sigh...
The donuts didn’t completely go to waste since @guthrie is none the wiser. Slather frosting on anything pastry like and he’ll eat it without complaint.
The upside of this disastrous donut run? We weren’t actually here for the donuts. It’s open mic night and we wanted to show our support for @tarotbyfergus! His performance was so much fun!
Next Thursday we’ll probably swing by again to see @tarotbyfergus. Next time I’ll also remember to save my money and stick with coffee.
Maybe the place has 4.5 stars in category "Recommend to the enemy".

I could always the quality of a donut shop if their Honey Crullers tasked like cigarettes or not..

I dunno man. I’m not into the jelly filled ones. Maybe if it’s cream or custard? Less sweet is more my thing.
