The “Snoustapus” Chimera

In last night’s “A show of hands” post, I asked if anyone would like to offer me some inspiration by naming 3 animals that I could turn into a chimera. @helenelenoble proposed a 🐙 + 🐁  + 🐌 , which I’ve dubbed the Snoustapus, thanks to @tarotbyfergus.

I paid @tarotbyfergus for a reading today and it was extremely enlightening. I did record the audio from my reading which I’m thinking of sharing here on Steemit. So...look out for that and let me hear if you’d be interested in that. I would have to write out some of it so it can be translated by some Steemians who might not be fluent in English. 

Before starting, I thought about the position of the animal and brainstormed different ways of combining each creature. 

Eventually, I gave up and decided to start sketching. I could always go back and shift parts around later. It’s an odd specimen but I’m into it. 

Once I was satisfied with the look of the creature, I sketched the environment I thought it could live in. It’s the first time I’ve done something like this but I talked about adding more settings so...boom, it’s done! 😀

I got a few compliments while coloring this. I guess the Snoustapus looks less creepy and kinda-sorta cute with a splash of color.

I’ve got one more chimera to sketch out. Not sure if I’ll be doing that tonight since my iPad is sitting at 23% and I’m too lazy to charge it. Honestly, I’m looking for an excuse to play Magic with the guys.
