Our first day in Tauplitz, Austria
Today we arived at our appartement in Tauplitz, Austria for our ski holiday. The journey went well, not a lot of traffic jam. So that is great.
The appartement is prefect, a bit outdated but perfect. This afterenoon we went for the kids to arrange the ski-lessons, the last three years they only snowboarded so some lessons wont hurt them.
A bit about Tauplitz (source, wintersporters.nl )
Tauplitz is a ski area where especially beginners and slightly advanced skiers will feel at home. It is especially an interesting area for families, because it is not very busy here and you will find a beautiful children's area. In the middle of the ski area is a romantic little alpine village that you can ski right through. Authentic and romantic!
This area was in 1911 hosted one of the first Austrian ski races. In 1935 the local ski instructor Viktor Hierzegger installed the first Austrian tow lift here and for years this area had the honor of having the world's longest chairlift. But even now this area continues to invest in making winter sports enthusiasts happy.
Modern lifts and a good piste system ensure that you hardly ever have to wait for a lift in Tauplitz. Fast lifts ensure a good flow of winter sports enthusiasts.
