My Metal Trio
Inspired by the Metal Weekend posts of @steevc I was listening to some old metal songs at work.
I do want to share these with you of course but it's no weekend anymore :) So I made it 'My Metal Trio' for today.
Although I like almost any music as long as it moves or touches me, I do have a strong preference for rock and metal oriented music. My wife and my oldest son can't apreciate it most of the times, but my youngest is my partner in crime when it comes to music :) So I have made a selection of three songs my son and me both love a lot. When we drive in the car to a soccer game we always play metal and rock :) And we are going crazy in the car... Love that, some quality time with my youngest :)

As you may have seen in one of my earlier posts I am a huge fan of Corey Taylor. The man has a massive voice.... This song of Slipknot is so powerfull, the heavy guitarriffs and melody.... Just awesome.. Although I love their music I don't think that I will visit a concert soon. The crowd is just a bit to rough for me :)

This is nostalgia, guitar virtuoso Yngwie Malmsteen... Still one of the most talented (with a few extra pounds). Yngwie was the first (for me) who combined classical riffs with some real metal licks... And this song is one of the first I knew from him.... Introdoced to him by my brother...

Is it metal? ... open for discussion, but it sure is music with balls.... This band sounds like a 6 person band with all the great guitarsounds of their singer. I think a lot of the music of Muse is bombastic and powerfull.... Again great to drive long distances with Muse on the stereo.. :)
Of course there are some many, many great songs outthere... but for now I am going to rock hard on these three :)
