The story of a little fishie in the ocean of Steem – December 31st 2017

I’m a little fishie in the Ocean of Steem 🐠 I’m a bit different, maybe I don’t look like it, but I’m really deep. I can also go very high, even jump to look above the surface of the water 🙂

The Ocean of Steem is a bit like an Aquarium, but at the same time it’s very vast.

Sometimes, I make a call to other fishies 🐟 (aka post on steem), and it feels like this:

I put my little eyes above the water surface, and I see great emptiness before me with not much in sight. 😬 Where did everyone go all of the sudden? It feels so lonely. I must travel to another place in this ocean.

I’m a little fish with a big message. But the feeling of giving more than receiving in return can be depleting. That is when I start to feel dependent on the approval from others fishies. 😕

As I go somewhere else to look for some company, night is falling. It seems to be addictive to be searching in this ocean, even though I SHOULD go to sleep. I don’t want to go to sleep feeling like this on the last day of 2017! And I’m up for the adventure, even if it doesn’t always feel perfect. I want to be awake in the ocean of Steem, even if I’m very tired! 😓

It starts raining… There, in the distance, there seems to be battle going on! What’s that?

Some left-wing politician is fighting with a stock trader, I’ve heard.

I don’t feel very safe… must go to anther place. I’m not sure if this Steem ocean is right for me. I imagine that these battleships are owned by very big fish with teeth, which makes me feel small and vulnerable in this ocean…

I’m just many other fishies, feeling a deep need for love and acceptance of my expression. When I get it, I celebrate. But I know that in the moments that I don’t get it, I can also celebrate. It’s an opportunity to feel and heal.

With these thoughts and feelings, I fall asleep blissfully…..

The next morning…

Wow, It’s 2018!!!!!! Such a beautiful Sunrise! it’s great when you look at it from underwater as well.

Suddenly, I see some Dolphins very near to me

• “Happy new year, Dolphins, I’m so glad I found you!”

• “Just jump on my back”, says one of the Dolphins, “I’ll bring you anywhere”

These are friendly dolphins who help the little fishies like me. Wow I’m so glad I came across them. I feel they have important things to teach me.

• “What would be a good place for a little fishie like me?”, I ask
• “I’ll bring you to the Pool of Power at the magical waterfall.”, the dolphin says

And so I travel and the back of the Dolphin, and she helps me to travel through many dangerous straits.

They even help me past the Sirens, dangerous seductresses who try to persuade fishies to pay for services of instant gratification (aka vote buying 😀 )

Finally, we reach the Pool of Power at the Magical Waterfall.
“You’re on your own now” says the Dolphin “But you can always call me. Just say @dolphinhelpmeout”
Thank you Dolphins!

And so I bathe in the pool to rejuvenate and prepare to make this 2018 a great year!
