Beverages with friends at Kedai Kopi Gembira

When things got too stressful and messy in the office, I used to go out and have a drink with my friends. We usually went to a restaurant few block from the office called Kedai Kopi dan Makan Gembira. Basically Gembira is Malaysian language means Happy.

If you are a fan of fresh bread and buns, you gonna love this restaurant. It's not in the usual toast bread, its super soft pillowy buns fresh from oven. Roti Kawin (or literally translated to ‘Marriage Bread) is combination of soft pillowy buns with butter and kaya (egg and coconut jam).

I usually ordered this ice cold Ros Merah drinks with that bun. It's a Pink coloured, sweet and creamy drink that is simply irresistible. Basically it's Rose flavored syrup mixed together with condensed or evaporated milk to create the pink coloured drink. It's so so satisfying and refreshing to drink.

I know it's not really healthy to eat that Roti Kawin and cold drinks, but when you're stressed-out you need something to make you happy and a cup of this yummy drink and snack won't hurt your diet.. 😂😂

So, here we are chating, drinking and looking at our smartphone while sipping that drinks. Sip sip sip and owwh you won't realise you finished that drink! Although this place is just a small simple coffee house, it offers a good place for a quick drinks and snack.
