Yesterday was full of fun as teams show their pedigree in the EPL games played yesterday as the biggest upset recorded was the game in which Tottehham lost on penalty. Teams like Arsenal, Everton and Licester have no problem navigating their opponents.

Today however, will be the turn of some of the big premier league team as each one of them would play to avoid what happened to Spurs.

I will be given out my take and predictions on some of the matches slated for today one after the other.

  1. Brighton & Hove Albion vs Aston Villa
This match can go either way judging by the form of the two teams so far in this season campaign, if the result of the match between the Villa and Arsenal is to be used as criteria, then Aston Villa must up their game to a higher level to stand any chance of winning.
My prediction for the match is 2-2 draw, while Brighton will win on penalty.
  1. Chelsea vs Grimsby Town.
Stamford Bridge will be in less tension for today and i see the Blues Manger resting some of his key players for this encounter. Irrespective of the [players paraded by Chelsea on the night, the Blues are expected to coast home with victory.
    My prediction: 3-0.
  1. Milton Keynes Dons vs Liverpool.
Days after a tough win over Chelsea in the premier league, the Reds are back to business and expected to go all out to qualify to the next stage of the competition. Haven't said this, Milton can also prove to be hard to crack on a good day with their long ball style of play especially will the certainty that the Reds may be resting some of their key players for today's encounter.
My prediction: 3-1 in favour of Liverpool.
  1. Oxford United vs West Ham United.
Oxford is a regular as far as EPL cup is concerned but playing a resurgent West Ham United that is coming a win over the Manchester United in the premier league may be a tall order. Going by the online poll which saw over 2035 voters given the game to The Hammer is a long way of short.
My prediction: 4-2 in favour of West Ham United.
  1. Sheffied United vs Sunderland.
Sheffied United stand a better chance of progressing to the next round of this competition at expense of Sunderland for quality of players the two team possessed.
My prediction: 2-0 in favour of Sheffied United.
  1. Manchester United vs Rochdale.
Old Trafford outfit is not new to this competition as such the Red Devil will have no excuse or what so ever not to progress to the next stage of this competition. It is also expected that the United Manager will give young players opportunity to play. It will a shocker if United failed to beat Rochdale tonight.
My prediction: 4-1 in favour of Manchester United.
