We socialize our dogs. We teach our children.
There’s a great deal of misconception about how home schooled children will lack ‘socialization’ and therefore will suffer in society. This couldn’t be further from the truth. In fact these are myths spread by the public school boards, teacher unions, psychologists and sociologists whom are the very same people that dish out doses of powerful Ritalin and anti-depressants to public school children every single day.
There is no evidence that homeschool children go on I become antisocial hermit people, who are unable to relate with people in the real world. It’s rather the opposite in fact. These children who aren’t in an environment of teasing, bullying hive mind mentality. Go on to become polite, free thinking individuals. With a great deal to offer to the world. Not to mention, the consistent higher test scores in comparison to their pubic schooled counterparts. But nobody wants to talk about that fact. Huh?
It’s probably because of that one on one attention that yeilds a brighter pupil. I mean how can a student flourish when a teacher’s attention is divided among 29 other students, all excelling at different rates base on how effective the teaching method is for them? If a one size fits all teaching method was ideal, there wouldn’t be a need for a private tutor now would there?
But how does a homeschool child make friends? Well, one great option is to join a Home school community. Home schooling communities are a volunteer based organization of parents, whom come together to put on events, field trips, meet and greets etc. A great way to get your kids out into the world to see other home school kids and get them that ‘socialization’ dogs err I mean kids need.

You are 100% correct. Our kids always got complimented for how mature and social they were.
I dont think a daily dose of posing and negative peer pressure would have made them turn out better. On the contrary....
