Compassion Gone (Poetry)
Happiness so brief.
Pain so intense,
Shedding all pretense.
Does anyone dare,
Dare to break the silence
On their own expense?
How cold and unfeeling
We turned out to be.
As if we're too blind to see.
Turned into stone?
Though of fleshy parts,
The compassion's gone.
