My Top 5 Altcoins I'm HODLing for 2018
Good morning, Steemians!
I thought I would give my honest opinion today and let you guys know what I'll be HODLing in 2018. Here are my top 5 cryptos to hold on to for the entirety of this year!
5. Substratum (SUB)
What is it?

4. Cardano (ADA)
What is it?

WaBi (蛙币) can then be used to purchase them.
2. NEO
What is it?
"Formerly known as Antshares, NEO is a recent iteration on Ethereum’s smart contracts. NEO uses a unique blockchain algorithm that improves upon Ethereum’s model. While the basics still apply, it also supports decentralized commerce, identification and digitization of several assets. What is it?

I must say I'm not an investment advisor, and please do your own due diligence/research before committing any money to a project. Having said that, I really think that many of these coins I hold have the potential to 10x or more in 2018. I hope so!

Things I consider when buying cryptos:
-Market cap: I am actively looking at coins that are between about rank #20-70 to add to my portfolio. Coins that look promising.
-Max Supply: The lower the Max Supply, the more demand there will likely be, especially if the coin is great. I like coins that have a Total Supply of <1,000,000,000,000 (1 Billion).
-Charts: If a coin is at an all-time high, I usually won't buy it, but rather keep my eye on it and when it makes a dip I try to buy then. There are circumstances where I have bought at ATH's because I truly thought the coin was greatly undervalued.
-The project in general: If I can't get behind the project, I won't invest in it. It's that simple.
Just because I don't have a coin on this list doesn't mean I won't consider it for 2018, this is just what I'm looking at right now. Thanks for stopping by, hope you got something out of this!

Good morning, thank you for sharing your insights. Pardon my ignorance, when fractional coins are traded in this digital world does total supply number really have any meaning? Do you think it would make more sense to compare the "inflation" (mining reward, gas, transaction fee etc) as a percentage of the supply and pick the lower number?
So do you now think Monero's run is near over or you going for the bigger potential gain in the "penny coins"?
Very good question. You're right, but people favor having whole coins over fractional coins. The thing is, with these project coins that have low market cap right now which also means lower price, with low max supply, people see this as a big opportunity to be able to hold at least 1 of something again, whereas holding 1 Bitcoin is much harder to do. Illogical, but this is how many people look at it. I think Monero might 5x this year. I will be adding more. Verge was a bust in my eyes with their Wraith protocol not doing what they said it would.
You are right. I would think a lot of people would be regretting not buy a whole bitcoin when it was cheap and they could. I know I did.
