Pineapple

Pineapples have a wide cylindrical shape, a scaly green, brown or yellow skin and a regal crown of spiny, blue-green leaves and fibrous yellow flesh. The area closer to the base of the fruit has more sugar content and therefore a sweeter taste and more tender texture. Pineapples is by far my favorite fruit in Thailand. They are so cheap and sweet here. I highly recommend it. i payed 70 baht for 10kg of sweet pineapples. Thats about 2.1$ US.

Pineapples are loaded with essential nutrients and vitamins such as: Vitamin C,B, Copper, Manganese etc..
This fruit is really helping the digestive system because it's loaded with fiber. The fruit itself is very sugary and sweet. But you really need to pick them up ripe. An unripe pineapple will be very sour and itchy on the tongue. From my experience they should have a little orange color and you should be able to squish the fruit a bit.
