The Box In Da Hood

It was that time that Nicky had to come to KK for some work and car maintenance. Then we decided to meet up at this place called The Box, from the picture above, it looks like Somersby carries the name of the Shop, but actually, Somersby is the name of a drink.

Since this contest is gonna be "Beverages with Friends", oh well why not I share my way of beverages with friends with "BEER". Not many people like to drink beer, some prefer wine, some prefer liquor or whiskey, to be honest Beer is my go-to friend after a hard day of work, my second wife and sometimes my enemy too, because beer will make go wild (out of Control) Lol. Haha...

Let's continue this review about The Box, it is located in the Sub-Urban housing area of Lintas Luyang, it's about 15 minutes away from Kota Kinabalu City Centre and also one of the most go to Bar in Kota Kinabalu vicinity.

The Box is built with Hard Stainless Steel Container where you will only see them in Sea Ports. It is used to carry goods for import and export and these owners have a creative idea to make this container into a Bar.

It is really a nice concept and a very unique style of design, they have an indoor and outdoor table, and also a sofa lounge area. They serve light finger food, which we did not order at that time of picture because after that it was my friend Beer was leading the way.

In total, they use four 40footer long container to built this bar and it took them about 1 year to complete the setup. They only operated about less than 2 years and starting to recoup their shares of the business. This was told by a friend who apparently owns The Box.

The place is cozy, not hot, chair are comfy, the table is are good right size height tables. Some of their tables are made from recycling wooden palates from their container shipment, rather than throwing into a waste, they turn it into a bar table and chair. Super Brilliant Idea.

They open also an air-conditioned area, where some people prefer cool temperature. It is by far the best bar I been in Kota Kinabalu with the Outdoor and Indoor concept.

These day with "beverages with friends" coffee, tea, juices or anything is a go-to thing. The trend now has changed, meeting friends in the bar super common nowadays and this is how I roll with them.

Price: Reasonably Price 9/10
Locality: 10/10 (Near my Home)
Parking: Very Hard 5/10
Cleanliness: 10/10
Toilet: 7/10
Would You Go Again: SUPER BIG YES

The only thing I missed out is the menu and pricing, in which I totally forgot, because of the catching up with mates and buddies, and also with my friend BEER, it makes it, even more, harder to focus. Lol.
