A Divine Meal > Curry Laksa Noodle

Last week me and @gelfire went to our go-to restaurant. It is located about 20 min away from the City Center of Kota Kinabalu. We decided to eat in this shop because its near our home and we know what to order. As i say its our go-to restaurant.

This shop is famous for thier hand made flat noodle, they made it fresh by batches, meaning they make 20kg per roll. They do not want to make more, as they want to safeguard the fresh texture of the noodle.

When we arrive, the boss sat next to us and wanna take our order. I told him i wanna eat something diffrent, out of the ordinary. Due to our close friendship with the owner, i always never bordered to look at thier menu, because i know what they famous for, and would not order other except their famous dish which is thier Flat Noodle Soup.

After looking at their menu, surprisingly they have added many other dishes, and one meal that pop my eye was "Curry Laksa Noodle" . If you an Asian living in South East Asia, Curry Laksa is a TWO words dish or meal, either you order Curry Rice, or Curry Noodle. Same goes with Laksa, Its a dish by its own, can be served with noodle, flat rice noodle or vermicelli.

Since almost everybody knows what is Curry, i try explain those who doesnt know what is Laksa taste like, it is Spicy, Sour from the Tamarind, Coconut Buttery Milk with the right balance of local spices such as Ginger, Lemongrass, Turmeric and Shrimp Paste. You can get Laksa easily in Singapore and Malaysia.

So back to this dish, It is Curry Laksa Noodle, 2 Combination of Taste joining in ONE bowl. The taste is beyond speechless, it is remarkable taste, super flavourful, with tons of spicy kick (but not too much), and the soury taste spike it to a whole new level of taste. Totally blend well with the curry, i can say both Curry and Laksa makes a special bond.

With the mixture of Fish fillet, Fish Ball, Tofu, Fried Fish Skin and Freshly Cook Fish into the bowl, made it more welcoming. I trully enjoyed this Curry Laksa Noodle, and surprisingly it did not made me sweat a lot, usually when i eat spicy food, i will sweat a lot, but this dish did not. Curry Laksa really complement each til they make their guest feel at home.

I let @gelfire try it first and later i gulp them within 15minutes. (I was Hungry actually)

A typical Coffee Shop in Kota Kinabalu, the name of the shop is covered with the banner, actually the owner could not careless the name is seen or not, because they are famous here, they know people will come to eat their shop.

The Boss and Masterchef . Mr Fung, very chatty and great in service.

Mr Fung daughter is picking up her dad skills and business soon.

The menu that i under estimate Lol. my dish is number 13.

Their Famous Flat Noodle menu, this menu is stick to the glass stall, where it is made from Manila Card with 90s 4r size style picture stick to it.

Drinks Coffee and Water - RM2.00 (USD0.50)
Total : RM19.00 (USD4.80)

This shop do not practices bill receipt but rather on giving cash term.

I totally recommend to all my friends to go try their Laksa Curry Noodle and their Famous Hand Made Flat Noodle. You will never regret it.

I will give 10/10 for this restaurant and dish anytime, anyday.
