Its a Cowboy Noodles, Have YOU Tried It before??

NO JOKE, Seriously it is. Why?? It's because this dish is from the Town of Cowboys, a place called Kota Belud (KB). It is about an hour from the bustling city of Kota Kinabalu.
Kota Belud has been referred the Cowboys of the East because, during the olden days, the villagers works as horsemen, they rare horses and most of them are headhunters and soldiers of the village.
Today i am gonna review about a place called Mee Sup KB Ah Thong. With that name, I believe Ah Thong is the creator, from the signage stated it is from 1965.
Damnn that is long , i believe now it is the second generation that runs it now.
The front entrance of the shop above picture.
This shop is kinda weird, their kitchen is at the main door of the shop, and they only have half shop for tables and chairs.
Half Shop of table and chairs, not many actually, just fitted around 10 tables.
The Memories of the Origin MEE SUP KB AH THONG as per the signage say so
The special thing about them is that, their chicken and noodle made by hands.
I kinda sneaked into the kitchen and took some picture of the action.
The chopping board where the knife works.
This is mee hoon soup campur (Kaki Ayam, Daging Ayam Steem, and Hati Ayam) This is not my dish, it was somebody else, i was just taking opportunity toi take pictures.
Ok This is my dish, i ordered their specialty original dish, Dry based noodles with their award winning Dark Soy Chicken
AWesomeeeee!!!
As mention, their noodles are handmade, no machine no chemicals, straight using bamboo and wood to beat the dough, however to cut this perfectly fine line of string, they only use the cutter machine to cut teh noodles dough.
My business partner ate rice actually with dark soy chicken and chicken liver.
He also ordered their famous Chicken Feet dish
To be honest, by far hands downm they are one of my top 3 go to lunch area shop in Penampang. To the extend, i control myself not to go everyday. Simply delicious, warm welcoming, freindly staff and workers, its like a family joint, i feklt very welcoming.
The bosses and workers are my family too, thats why when staff treat customer they welcome them with open arms. Simple but yet fulfilling, warm and yet cheap, my bowl of noodle cost me RM6.50. Simple Amazingly awesome!!!
I really hope their next generations will continue this journey of the splendid dish.
