MINI COUNTRYMAN COOPER SD 4x4
The Mini is something more than a car is a cult object and has true fans worldwide since its first appearance in 1959. Since then the little car has been produced in many countries except the UK and has gone through many changes and been produced in many variations. In the 90 s BMW has gain all the rights and started renewing it adding fresh technologies and more variations from a strict 2 door roadster and convertibles till this all new crossover the Countryman which is offered with all wheel drive and diesel motor.
The Countryman offers not a big ground clearance and that does not making a real off roader. The entry is quite easy in compare with the traditional Mini and the visibility also much better and the ride quality although the center of gravity is higher has not affected at all its agility and drive behaviour the Countryman is one of the best of its kind. This diesel engine is passing extremely good to its character is powerful and economical. The numbers are impressive not many cars in this class are so great, it is fast and with the well trimmed and adjusted suspension this Mini is a big fun to drive.
Passing to the great performance are the breaks who are helping the relative heavy Countryman diesel 4x4 to break fast and without fade.
The interiour is a bit overloaded i d say with many switches and easily someone can feel confused and it takes sometime to get used to it. This overloaded panel i d say is passing to this multiple character of the Countryman but it is really remarkable how BMW well known for its drivers oriented friendliness has allowed such an overloaded cockpit.
This Countryman it isn't a Mini anymore it is very roomy and offers enough place to the rear passengers for longer trips including their baggages.
This Countryman it is not cheap it is very expensive i would say and one thing that has disappointed me is its quality. In no other modern car i have seen plastic panels to fall in the cabin and in generally although the materials are looking and feeling good they are not assembled as it should be this is something totally unacceptable for a 30.000€ car.
Still the Mini has its friends and remains one of the most wanted objects in its class.
