A simple yet effective idea to balance the rewards on steemit and make everyone happy.
So i came up with a somewhat simple idea to balance out the current financial situation on steemit.
Currently after the HF19 people with high amount of SP can easily upvote themselves and drain the hell out of the rewards pool.
(Which is the reason why our payouts are dropping madly by the day).
Now from a whales perspective that's amazing. Or someone with enough SP to have a constant flow of income on everything he posts like 1$.
But for us minows the new update doesn't really help out so much.. It is still better than before I can't disagree, but I personally think there is a dis-balance in the scale between minows-dolphins-whales.
The idea 💡 I have is to disable the self upvote for everyone and boost the curation payout.
The idea is simple and beneficial for everyone.. Not quite sure how it will work out in long term, but I'm sure it's going to boost the hell outta everyone and every post.

Well some tweaks and perks are a must.
This is just the concept.
Otherwise i don't think it's balanced to self vote yourself for 20/30 SBD and if you upvote someone else getting roughly 1$ citation..

Yeah the solution is fitting, but your expectation that everyone will get boosted from this change is based on nonsense. People who self vote for a lot of SBD will obviously lose because of this change. It's a zero sum game. People can't win without other people losing.
It's a good idea. I do think we are actually well balanced now, but that's just my opinion.
I totally agree. What I see now with HF19 is people not upvoting article, but they comment on it so they can upvote the comment. Disabling self upvote will be major improvement in my opinion.
I think self voting should be stopped and or limited the higher you go up on the SP scale. Most minnows probably don't self vote due to the new voting system that limits the amount of voting power we have each day. This is almost like the pyramid system where the top get richer and the bottom participants have to work harder to earn little.
