Castalia State Fish Hatchery
Hey guys ! I'm happy to share with you Castalia State Fish Hatchery
The Castalia State Fish hatchery is open to the public for self guided tours on weekdays. It is located in a scenic spot along Cold Creek. The big race track buildings go on and on. A 2500 gallon per minute flow of cold water is oxygenated and used to grow rainbow and steelhead trout. In fact, all steelhead stocked in the state come from this facility. Signs point the way to the blue hole that feeds the operation, but this is not THE blue hole of Castalia southwest of here which is no longer open to the public. It is still quite interesting and informative.
