Cosmic 35, maybe my most awkward camera...
When I saw this camera, I knew I wanted it. With its bakelite body it feels quite sturdy. The separate film winder and shutter means you can get (unintended) double exposures quite easily...😁
See that white dot on the inner ring? You change the aperture by moving that small ring! No clicks, but also no guarantee that it will stay where you put it 😅
When I saw it, I thought it was a 127 film camera, as it is quite high.
One of the reasons I loved this camera: that lens and shutter system is almost identical to that of the Lubitel 166b, the first medium format camera I owned! Although the Lubitel had a more conventional and reliable aperture control...
Really cool photo counter, together with the geared (!) film rewinder one of the better features of the camera.
Yes it has that non standard tripod nut...
Just shooting my first roll ( Foma retropan, for extra nostalgia points 😎) with it, so can't tell how the results are, but the body seems pretty light tight. I will post the results in a couple of months!
Very cool, I love those old metal shutter buttons. They remind me of large format lenses.
