Spots Just Aren't Panning Out

in #vanlife8 years ago (edited)

After spending a few days around Leavenworth I decided to head towards Seattle to try and get established somewhere to find some work as money is getting tight sooner than I had hoped it would. Unfortunately, I've been having some trouble finding spots. I wanted to move away from city dwelling as I don't like getting hassled. National Forest spots are too far away from bigger cities (would work in places like Leavenworth). I scouted out some Washington State DNR land near Seattle but it was closed to motor vehicles.

Some spots required some other kind of permits.

I headed up to Bellingham to look for some spots and haven't had any luck. Haven't really even seen any good city spots in the areas I've been searching. Not sure what I want to do next.

Not many places you stay west of the mountains. Leavenworth or Cle Elem would be my choices.

Thanks for the tips. There are some state parks in those areas that I think I'll apply to.

There are a few places, parks, you can stay for free if you volunteer to help out . Might buy you some time while you are putting around. Maybe just ask and see what happens. Best of luck . 🐓🐓

Thanks, been doing some parking lot stealth camping for now. I have an interview for seasonal summer work on a berry farm so I can probably camp there if I get the job.
