Puddles and speckles
of lost hope.
In my heart,
always forbidden
trust. Is love as sugary as
my soul? Am I
that predictable?
Empty clouds over
the bay, I wish I could
feel something,
as I did yesterday.
Too cold to the
core, I told you
I wanted more.
Dancing,
break me,
in the rain,
hate me.
Wings sway,
I sit on the
metal teeth,
seconds before
the cave shuts.
I just missed them
cutting me with
wolf’s claws.
No one, not you, not them
can see me.
