Receiving delegations is a great feeling because you get more Steem Power for free! You receive Steem Power delegations because people believe that you are going to make a good use of it.

I am making good use of my Steem Power by upvoting people that put in serious effort into their posts. Like that, I am promoting quality instead of quantity.

This a thank you letter to my delegators which are @Adept and @Hopehuggs. Adept is currently delegation 500SP to me and Hopehuggs currently delegates 1000SP to me.

Thank you very much for supporting me on my journey to 100000 Steem Power & financial independence!

If you ever receive delegations make sure to stay in contact with those people, after all, they are supporting you and you should give back...

Gratitude

I am thankful that Steemit exists and that there are people like @adept and @hopehuggs on it. Without Steemit I would still have to translate stupid documents from German to English or vice versa.

Being grateful for the awesome things in life is not important but it is a good thing to practice it here and then so that we don't take awesome things for granted.

Giving Back

You need to give back when you receive. I always give back to my supporters in the form of writing posts about topics that they want to read, in the form of upvotes or in the form of advice.

You don't need to give them money (even tho upvotes are exactly that, give them upvotes!).

DTube is one of my greatest supporters and as a means of thanking @Heimindanger I tell of my members and friends to use DTube. That is what I do for him in return + I continue to use DTube.

I also do this because giving and taking are essential parts of tribe life & friendship. Without that essential part, cooperation won't happen.

The saddest thing for me to see is people that rise to the top and don't thank or remember the people that helped and supported them on their way there.

I think to remember/thank the people that have helped you along the way like you do here, shows a wonderful thing. (sorry, need to be more awake) That thing is you care.

You might use words that others don't when you write and talk but by this post, you show that a person should never judge another by what they look and sound like.

That actions are what really shows who a person is.

Gosh, I hope that all made sense loll need more sleep!

It did Snook, I 100% agree with you.

Oh, Good :D hate when I'm like that!

100% Supportive and loyal people are uber important. No man is an island, so the saying goes.

Gratitude is also a great quality. It's part payment for the kindness we receive until we can return that favour in the way it was given – upvotes, support, etc.

Reciprocity: where altruistic and egotistial needs combine

I like that. Thanks for the post and for your help and support.

Good comment Anjkara.

When I started reading your posts (and chatting with you), I could see it would be worth supporting you - your advice and returned support (and from the other #berserkers) have helped change my path, which in turn I am truly grateful for (even the times when you have been really tough on me). You are right more times than I like to admit :)

Thank you Helen!

Reciprocating is a big deal. You are doing that for sure. You give dope information about different things. You've helped me a bunch.

100% Earl. Without reciprocation, no cooperation can be maintained.

Hello @valorforfreedom

I know when you started your steemit journey and I am happy for how far you have come.

When it comes to reciprocity or giving back that is how Steemit was
designed.

There is a limit to what your Steem power can do for you. But when you join and nuture a community everyone helps lift each other up.

I am happy for how far you have come.

Remain awesome

I agree Ogochukwu.

Welcome to our discord Server.

So true. Gratitude should always be exercised and reciprocity is one of the most powerful human rules. These have been preached through out history, Give and you shall receive for example.

What you put out into the universe will come back to you in abundance. It was a pleasure to make the bear claws and the least I could do after the help you have given me.

100% Jist, and it must continue.

An ending of reciprocity means an ending of cooperation.

It's always been my principle never to forget those who had your back, especially those who were there for you when you started from scratch. ^^

I will never get tired of saying tons and tons of thank yous! ^^

Thank you Dawn.

steemit will rock in 2020!

Great post, Philip - thanks!

I disagree with one point: "Being grateful for the awesome things in life is not important . . . "

My own take is that being grateful for the awesome things in life is of PARAMOUNT importance. One of the primary reasons that so many in our world are failing, is because they aren't grateful for what they DO have, which results in them engaging in self-destructive habits that actively push away the awesome things they desire, whether they realize it or not.

Your continued statement, I obviously do agree with: " . . . but it is a good thing to practice it here and then so that we don't take awesome things for granted."

Absolutely. Gratitude, showing appreciation and giving back are a big part of how I've lived my life, and continue to do so. And I am extremely grateful for my parents, who taught us to do that not just with words, but by leading by example.

Sure, I'm an imperfect human, but these are the principles on which I base my actions, and frankly, I'm a happier person because of it.

And it is one of the reasons why I've followed your posts, because you exemplify the ideal of giving back, which the world needs more of, for sure! So thanks again!

I should also note that, in the short time I've been following your posts, your advice has already helped me.

I'm grateful that you put together a system that is simple, relatable, and doable, as I'm already seeing real-world results in less than a week. This is huge for me, as I'm actively working to replace my husband's income so that he can finally live at home, instead of being on the road constantly.

It's refreshing to find someone giving online advice that is of actual value for a change.
