Pacers trade Paul George to the Thunder
Shocking news in the NBA as the Indiana Pacers trade Paul George to the Oklahoma City Thunder for Guard Victor Oladipo and Power Forward Domantas Sabonis.
There were numerous teams interested in trading Paul George, which were nearly went through teams like the Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Lakers and many more.
This trade now then pairs him up with Recently Crowned League MVP Russel Westbrook, with the addition of Paul George, Westbrook will now handle all the load anymore on the Thunder.
Paul George informed the Pacers that he will not be signing a new contract with them. A good move by the Pacers by getting something in return rather than Paul George walking away. They get up and coming talents Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis.
The three-time All-Star, three-time All-Defensive Team member and 2013 NBA Most Improved Player averaged 23.7 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.3 assists this past season and shot 39.3 percent from 3-point range. George, 27, played seven seasons with the Pacers, averaging 18.1 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.2 assists.
