My kids are proud owners of their own (little) stash of Bitcoin!

I've known about cryptocurrency for a long long time but I never really got into it up until a few months ago. I decided that I had to get in the game because I did not want to miss out anymore. So I asked my wife for permission to enter with my own money and she agreed but I could not spend more than X amount of euros. :) We all know who's boss right?

So I bought myself a bunch of different cryptos and I'm holding and waiting patiently for one and hopefully more than one to rise exponentially. I never bought Bitcoin though because I just could not really imagine that it would continue to rise like it has done. Surely Ethereum would wipe it off the crypto map... surely other technical better cryptos would render Bitcoin useless... But no, not yet anyway.

I've lived through several "what if I had x Bitcoin" moments in the meantime... But since I'm on a budget, I'm not allowed to spend any more money of my own in cryptos. LOL. But my wife asked me a little while ago if it would a smart move to buy some for our kids and I just thought we should go ahead and do it.

We have been saving money for both of our kids since the moment they were born. They each have their own bank account which both of us automatically transfer money on every month for when they're older and will go to study, get their drivers license and perhaps some other important stuff that they could use the money for. Our kids are 8 and 4 and sitting on a nice amount of euros already and I feel extremely proud of being able to do this for them, I wasn't so lucky myself. Hopefully when they're older these accounts will help them a lot. But the interest of banks are shitty so we agreed on taking some from their accounts and buy some Bitcoin for them.

It could potentially help our kids dramatically in a few years. If it continues to rise it would be awesome for them. If it drops it would be bad luck but at least we wouldn't miss out on another one of those "what if we had some Bitcoin" moments. Perhaps I could wait for a significant drop and buy at that moment but I figured now is as good of a time as ever.

So long story short. Our kids are proud owners of of some Bitcoin! I really hope Bitcoin is here to stay for a few more years and that the crypto gods will be so kind to have it rise and rise for our little rascals! I would love to be able to jumpstart their lives when they could really use it.
