Why I love this movie?

For me, the movie is fun and entertaining but at the same time touching. His relationship with his father, his band members and Mary, his love for his music and being unique. Seeing how passionate Mercury doing something he loves, it makes me reflect on myself. I wish one day I can do that, to do the things that I love.

The music was fantastic, and seeing how they work towards creating them makes me appreciate their music more. My favorite scene would be the Live Aid concert. It felt so real that gosh I wish I was already born to watch the real performance.

What do I think of the cast?

I love Rami Malek, so I may be bias saying this but Rami Malek did a great job as Freddie Mercury. Not only he looks so much like Freddie, but he also did well in portraying Freddie’s insecurities, uncertainties, passion, and confidence. Also, you can even feel the perspectives of Freddie Mercury through Rami Malek, and that for me is impressive. And even the other actors look so much like the real Queen that when you watch the movie, it felt as if you are watching the real Queen on stage.

Do I recommend it? Will I watch it again?

Of course, I would recommend this movie, especially those who love their songs. But I have to remind you that in Malaysia, a lot of the parts are censored out so the movie is rather clean. If I have the chance, I would love to watch it again in the cinema.
