Hey steemians! what's up again. This recipe is best known for those who living alone. It is very simple dish to cook and very tempting. Hehe

This recipe is called Dark Soy Sauce Fried Rice or we called it in Malay "Nasi Goreng Kicap"! This is a perfect getaway from eating any instant noodles or instant food! The good thing is you will learn how to cook. Yeah! I'm going to show you step by step on how to cook it and not to burn your rice okay!?
So let's do this together!

Okay! this is my own version and ingredients are only available for one serving, if you need to add some more, you have to double up the amount of ingredients that I shown here. So lets take a look what these ingredients are!;

  • 1 Plate of Rice that already cooked, cold, and easy to scattered in pieces.
  • 1 egg
  • 1 skin less clove of garlic.
  • 1 skin less Bombay Onion
  • 3 Red Thai Hot Chili( Optional)
  • 4 pieces of mustard greens or any vegetable that you'd like to add.(Optional)
  • Oil for cooking/sauteing.
  • 1 tbsp Oyster Sauce
  • 1 1/2 tbsp of Dark Soy Sauce
  • Salt, Sugar and Black Pepper for seasoning.

Preparation and cooking

  • Mince the garlic, onion and chili.
  • Cut the veggie into small pieces of shape.
  • Heat up your frying pan.
  • Put a dash of oil, like 1 or 2 tbsp of oil.
  • Once the oil is already hot enough, you may put all the minced garlic, onion and chili together. Saute/Cook until fragrant.
  • If you afraid that your ingredients will burn, you can just switch into medium fire.
  • When the all minced ingredients got fragrant, it's time to put the egg. Stir it well.
  • You can put the oyster sauce and dark soy sauce and stir nicely with the ingredients that currently in cooking process.
  • Now time to put the the rice and stir it well and mixed nicely. If you think the rice doesn't looked dark enough, you can just add another dark soy sauce again to your rice.
  • After it all had been stirred well, put your veggie inside and stir it again until the veggie's cooked.
  • Season it with pinch of salt, sugar and black pepper and stir it until it blends altogether.
  • Your dark soy sauce fried rice, done! time to fill your hungry tummy!
