How fast the Earth moves

in #busy8 years ago

We are taught at school that the Earth revolves around the Sun. This would be true if the Sun were at the same point in the universe. But the Sun is also moving. Consequently, the speed of the Sun must be added to the speed of the Earth. The sun, along with other stars, enters the Milky Way galaxy. The Galaxy itself also rotates. Let us add the speed of rotation of the galaxy.
Even without counting it is clear that this speed is huge and it is even difficult to imagine how much.
