RE: The Gospel of ACT

in #reliquary5 years ago

Verse 24 to 28 speaks of a man Apollos who was impassioned for the gospel but was not very knowledgeable. Aquila and Priscilia took him and expounded to him the gospel of Christ. He became so empowered that the bible recorded that he was a great help to the bodyof Christ.

My interest in this story is the ability of Apollos to submit himself to teaching. These days, we see the reverse. We see young christians who are so eager to launch out wîth half-baked messages and revelations. Nobody wants to sit down and be properly raised. Notice, Apollos was already taught but he had limited knowledge. How many of us has the humility to, despite what we think we already know, submit to further training.

Another thing worthy of notice was the ability of Aquila and Priscilia to take note of the knowledge drought of the young Christian and having the presence of mind to call him to order. Do we still have such spiritual elders?
