STEEM vs HIVE on Steem-engine: What is the fate of Steem-engine tokens?
It is quite beautiful to see that $steem and $hive are both trading against each other on steem-engine. Here is the STEEM/HIVEP market. Just yesterday, @aggroed announce that he's moving to hive blockchain and he intends to build hive-engine to support tokens that wish to move and to trade against hive.
I hope there will be provisions for same tokens on both blockchains to interact. By this I mean that I personally own huge investment in SPORTS, though @Patrickulrich is yet to make a statement, I hope we could also trade our SPORTS against hive someday and we decide where our tokens should remain.
What really prompted this post is the fact that I see a time where steem and hive will be competition to know which is superior in value and utility. Already, "steem" is trailing "hive" by 0.9% which makes 1 HIVE purchased with 1.23 STEEM. However, this is just the beginning of the game, the future will tell.
My interest is to see the two alt coils grow because many people have set in their investment in both and it would be cool top see them get a good ROI. I see a time where investors/developers on both chains will have to work so hard to give more value to their preferred coin.
Let's see how things turn out to be.
It will be interesting. The challenge with all of this is the fact that Justin Sun has not given any indication of what he is going to do. Is he looking to just dump the STEEM he acquired and get out? Or will he look to actually make it a viable chain even if centralized?
