Monuments in Monochrome
Some black & white monuments
I like to edit photos into a less colourful way especially when it comes to buildings, historic monuments and architecture (as the opposite with other targets such a flowers, fruits or landscape / sunny moments). Here some church, city wall and caste photos for your enjoyment for MonochromeMonday by @old-guy-photos today.
City Wall in Rhineland-Palatinate
A very old city wall with major parts still extant in Worms / Germany. The city wall is one of the oldest pieces of roman architecture still existing in the City. This one marks the north side of the Jewish Quarter with an opening in the wall. You can move upstairs and enjoy an impressive view over the city and Rhine.
St Peter’s Cathedral (Dom St. Peter)
The main church of the City Worms is a romanesque pillar basilica with a double choir and a transept. It was built 1125/1130 – 1181. It is a mix of roman and gothic architecture.
Castle Nymphenburg
My favourite Munich-based Castle in Nymphenburg which was built as somer residence in the 17th century. The castle is in the middle of a huge parc arena with lots of fountains and garden art.
Wow, thanks for sharing these black and white pictures, every architecture is saying an story, keepup the great work. Happy new year to you and your family.

Castle Nymphenburg was some residence! I could never live in such a place as my wife would take a lifetime to decide on what colour to pain the entrance hall, let alone the rest of the castle.
I'm also a fan of black and white/monochrome photographs - some of mine are shared on my blog if you care to look. I don't have a specific interest but tend to like anything with texture in high contrast monochrome.
