Currently Steemit is growing in terms of users, the current price of steem is volatile as most altcoins. HF19 has been launched and changed voting behaviour and rewards a lot.

Actually I was writing about HF19 and some of the current discussions going on. I re-wrote this tons of time in the morning and will probably post about the effects (positive and negative) soon in a more in-depth way - then I realized it is Love Friday and Dance Weekend coming up - therefore I am focusing on Love and what I like here today. A bit cheerleading is good (you will see a special surprise eventually later from me) - isn't it?

Yes, I think it was a postitive move in the right direction, but I think there will be some necessary tweeks to the system in the coming HFs.
Do you agree the reward distribution is more fair now?
Yes, I do!
Do you think steemit as platform is sustainable or not?
Yes, I do! As long as we keep the platform interesting and filled with great content. Where else can you find a decentralized medium like steemit where you can freely share your thoughts and wisdom without the fear of censorship?
Would you buy Steem now?
I am already buying steem on a regular basis. This way I get a good average price and reduce the risk of buying at a high price.

I know way more than that ;) I don't like using a system that I don't understand. So my first month was all about understanding steemit in detail and how everything works and is calculated.
This comment upvoting stuff is one of the reasons for the "but" in my first answer. But for now I think a good solution is to spread the love evenly between ourselfs and the community we support. So, I almost never only upvote myself but also upvote the post I comment on (if i liked it).

I think HF19 has been an overall success. However, I don't like the trend that people upvote their own stuff instead of helping others to grow. To me that is the only weak point of the current version.

I'm here recently, but it seems to me that it's not fair. Not because I do not get paid for posts, but because many simply vote for their comments. Everyone wants to evaluate only themselves. If I'm not right, I'm sorry.

Yes, it has basically killed Twitter for me. The folks are nicer here, the content is much better, and the community feeling is surprisingly good.
Only thing is the sheer volume of posts. I hope that through content and likes an AI might be able to offer a community that matches a user. FM had something like that, it would say, this person likes 80% of the same music you do. Do you want to befriend him?

Guter Artikel, danke! Bei dem HF sehe ich allerdings noch nicht so richtig durch. Kurz danach hatte mein Vote bis zu 1 SBD, dann schwankte es ziemlich und vor ca. 1 Woche kam es mir vor wie so eine Art Zufallsprinzip, mal viel, mal wenig. Seit ein paar Tagen ist es konstant, doch wieder sehr viel weniger, ein 100% upvote hat bei mir jetzt nur noch einen Wert von 0,10 SBD. Aber Spaß macht Steemit auf jeden Fall, vor allem die vielen netten Leute, die ich hier kennen lernen durfte. Schönes WE dir!
Der Reward Pool wurde angeglichen - also kleiner, Wale voten wieder und Steem Price ging massiv runter - dadurch Vote Wert nach unten. Spass ist die Hauptsache!
